GM Garden Landscapes started in Ferndown in 2009 with one van, a digger and a simple idea: do proper landscaping, properly. We're still based here today, so for most Ferndown jobs we're just around the corner — for the site visit, the build and afterwards.

Much of Ferndown sits on light, sandy heathland soil. It drains quickly, which is good news for gravel driveways and patios, but new lawns need decent topsoil underneath and watering through the first dry spell to establish well. We plan for that from the start.

A back garden lost under long grass and overgrown shrubs, cleared, levelled and returned to a proper lawn with fresh turf, with the swing seat and washing line back in use.

A 100 sqm dark grey porcelain patio wrapping around the back of the house and conservatory, giving the owners somewhere to sit out on every side. It's framed with a charcoal kerb-stone border against the lawn and pointed with easy-grout for a clean, low-maintenance finish.
